The Disney folks are launching a new series of technology improvements to enhance guest experiences. The initiative is known as MyMagic+. The program, which will first be introduced at Walt Disney World in Orlando will include a new website and dedicated apps. But the innovative part of this is the radio-frequency technology that comes embedded in a MagicBand bracelet.
The wristband will enable guests in the park to purchase rides, buy food and gifts, unlock their Disney hotel room door, make electronic choices within the park simply by waving their wrists. Of course, also embedded is a bit of guest information which one must assume Disney will manage to tabulate to get a real fix on exactly what its clients are doing witht heir time in the parks. This will, we are certain, result in more focused Disney ads and promotions that can be truly personalized for each family that visits its parks.
Don’t be surprised if this technology, in the form of wristbands, shows up on some of the larger cruise liners. It will make for a totally “cashless” on board society while carefully monitoring guest time aboard ship.

The My TSA mobile application (app) provides airline passengers with 24/7 access to the most frequently requested airport security information on any mobile device. Using this app can save passengers time and money by sharing helpful tips to prepare for security before getting to the airport, including knowing what items can and can’t go through security in checked or carry-on baggage.

The My TSA app includes the following features:

Airport Status: Users can see which airports are experiencing general delays (not flight specific) or search for conditions at a specific airport. Airport status information is provided by the Federal Aviation Administration and airport weather information is provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

‘Can I Bring?’: Users can type in an item they plan to bring on a trip to find out if it is permitted or prohibited, and whether they can pack it in carry-on or checked bags. If the item isn’t in our current database, the user can submit it for consideration.

Feedback: MY TSA enables users to email or call TSA’s Contact Center to provide feedback or ask a question.

Guide: The most frequently requested information is presented in the Guide, including information for passengers traveling with children; 3-1-1 rules for liquids, gels and aerosols; information for travelers with disabilities, medical conditions or medical devices; tips for dressing and packing to speed through security; tips for military members; and information on traveling with food and gifts.

Security wait times: My TSA gives passengers the ability to share their checkpoint wait time and see what wait times other passengers have posted for U.S. airports.

Videos: The app gives users access to informational videos on the 3-1-1 liquids rule, traveling with children and advanced imaging technology.
Sounds great. How do I get it?

To access the mobile web version of My TSA on your mobile device, type in or click www.tsa.gov/mobile.

You can download the native iOS and Android versions of the My TSA App on iTunes and Google Play.
